Maxon Vintage Series Analog Delay Pro ( 900ms With Multi Tap)

The latest offering in Maxon's line of superior Analog Delays the AD999 Pro takes the features of the AD-9 Pro and AD999 and combines them into a single powerful package. The AD999 Pro offers 900 milliseconds of pristine analog delay tone thanks to 4 custom-made Maxon Bucket Brigade IC's. Delay repeats are then filtered using Maxon's proprietary RMS noise reduction circuitry to provide the richest smoothest most quiet analog delay tone available. Using multiple feedback loops Delay Repeats can then be selected by the user in a variety of combinations to provide complex multi-tap delay signals and rhythmic delay effects. Topped off with stereo (wet/dry) outputs and mechanical true bypass switching the AD999 Pro raises the bar for what Analog Delay enthusiasts should expect from an effect pedal.[]More detail ...

Maxon 9 Series Over Drive Pro+

It’s with great pride that Maxon introduces the OD-9 Pro+ Overdrive. At long last an overdrive unit that meets and exceeds the demands of the market and deservedly takes its place beside the legendary 808. While developing the OD-9 Pro+ Maxon enlisted the help of an advisory board of professional guitarists to create a new classic overdrive pedal. Starting with the basic OD-9 circuit the OD-9 Pro+ adds a low-noise NEC uPC4570 OP-Amp in the output stage that allows for less compression and a more balanced frequency response. Increased Output level and true undistorted signal at zero Drive are further benefits of this component swap. The OD-9 Pro+ offers a switchable Boost feature that bumps the midrange by +3dB and the overdrive level by +10dB creating a thicker slightly compressed overdrive tone. Bright Singing sustained notes and improved harmonic response are further benefits of this new feature. If you always felt that the OD-9 was a bit anemic the Pro+ Boost Mode is just what the doctor ordered. The Pro+ also features the addition of a stabilized DC-DC voltage converter in the power circuit of the Pro+. This voltage converter bumps 9 volts up to 18 volts offering a much wider dynamic range and increased head room. Operating voltage is switchable between 9 and 18 volts offering a choice between the classic OD-9 tone and this newer full-frequency tone. The OD-9 Pro+ features True Mechanical Bypass switching courtesy of a 4PDT switch. With the combination of these new features and circuitry the Maxon OD-9 Pro+ effectively functions as a 4-voiced monster offering everything from the classic bluesy tones of the original 808 to the searing saturated chunk demanded by today’s extreme metal music.[]More detail ...

Maxon Reissue Series Overdrive

Best. Overdrive. Ever.5

I'm a bit of an overdrive junkie; in my brief time as an electric guitarist I've played easily five or six overdrive pedals extensively and have tried out sundry others here and there. Overdrive is tricky; if the effect is too over-the-top your natural tone and attack will be obliterated and replaced with a gross muddy fog of lame distortion. If the effect's too mild it sounds like a bad amp cranked up if that.

The Maxon OD-808 is simply the best I've played.

The controls are simple: Overdrive tone balance. 'Nuff said. I was amazed by how much range I found within these though! My favorite setting is Overdrive and Tone at around 12 noon with Balance at about 2-3:00. Awesome...super creamy and responsive. I play with a Telecaster and this thing makes it sound like a dream that shakes me walls (normally considered a nightmare).

I've never played an original tube screamer but this thing is 99% the same pedal down to the chipset inside (based on the research I did). Plus at 100 bucks cheaper why not go Maxon anyway? Seriously invest in one of these. Pricier than some other overdrives but well worth the cost.More detail ...
